What it is
The LSC1 is an immersion limit thermostat with a manual reset and a two-wire connection, manufactured by EOGB. It is a safety limit control used on the EOGB Imit boiler, where it monitors temperature and provides a manual-reset safety cut-out. Once tripped, the thermostat must be reset by hand to restore normal operation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out and will not fire until the limit thermostat is manually reset.
- The limit thermostat trips repeatedly during normal operation.
- The reset mechanism has no effect, or the thermostat will not latch when reset.
- A continuity test across the two wires shows an open circuit when the boiler is cold.
