What it is

This is a micro flow switch cable supplied by Ariston for use on the Microcombi 23 MFFI boiler range. It carries the signal from the micro flow switch, which detects water flow when a hot water tap is opened and allows the boiler to fire for domestic hot water. The cable connects the switch to the boiler's control circuit.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler does not fire when a hot water tap is opened
  • Domestic hot water runs intermittently, with the boiler cutting in and out
  • Visible damage to the cable, such as chafing, scorching or exposed conductors
  • Loose or corroded connections at the flow switch or control board end
