What it is
This is the wiring lead for the air pressure switch or probe used on Ariston gas boilers. It carries the signal between the air pressure switch/probe and the boiler's control circuit, allowing the appliance to prove fan and flue operation before ignition. It is supplied as an Ariston spare under part number 999425.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler goes to lockout with the fan running but no ignition sequence
- Intermittent lockouts that clear on reset, particularly on start-up
- Brittle, cracked or heat-damaged insulation on the lead
- Loose or corroded terminals at the switch/probe or board end
- Continuity faults or an open circuit on the lead when tested
