What it is
This is a detection electrode cable manufactured by Ariston. It connects the flame detection/sensing electrode to the printed circuit board (PCB) in Ariston Microcombi and Microgenus gas boilers. The cable carries the flame sensing signal from the electrode to the PCB.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to detect flame and locks out
- Intermittent ignition or flame failure
- Error code relating to flame detection or PCB signal
- Visible damage to cable insulation or connectors
- Corrosion or loose connection at electrode or PCB end
