What it is

The Ariston 998739 fixing spring is a casing component used to secure the front cover on Ariston Ecogenus 24 gas boilers. It is listed by the manufacturer under casing spares and holds the front cover panel in place on the appliance. The spring is specific to the Ecogenus 24 MFFI and RFFI SYS ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The front cover sits loose or does not pull flush against the casing
  • The cover rattles or vibrates in service
  • The spring is missing, snapped or visibly distorted
  • Corrosion or loss of tension in the spring, so it no longer holds the cover
  • The cover panel has been removed and the spring was damaged during refitting

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance is an Ariston Ecogenus 24 MFFI or RFFI SYS and identify its edition
  • Check the existing spring against the part number 998739 before ordering
  • Inspect the cover fixings and casing for damage that may also need attention
  • Verify the boiler's model and GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
