What it is
The Ariston 998643 is an automatic air vent supplied with an O-ring, used in Ariston gas boilers. It continuously releases trapped air from the heating circuit to help maintain stable system pressure and efficient circulation. It is fitted across the Microcombi, Microsystem, Microgenus and related Ariston boiler families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body or cap
- Persistent air in the system, causing noisy operation or cold spots at radiators
- Boiler pressure falling and needing frequent topping up
- Scale or corrosion visible around the vent
- Vent cap seized or failing to seal
