The Ariston 998589 by-pass pipe is a pipe assembly used in Ariston gas boilers. It forms part of the boiler's hydraulic circuit, allowing a controlled flow of water to bypass the main heating circuit and maintain stable operating conditions across the heat exchanger.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining at the by-pass pipe connections
- Corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the pipe surface
- Boiler short-cycling or unstable heating temperatures
- Whistling or kettling noises from the heat exchanger circuit
- Overheat lockouts where flow through the by-pass circuit is restricted
