What it is
The Ariston 998423 is a lip gasket with a 66 mm diameter, used to form a seal between mating components on Ariston gas boilers. It sits within the O-rings, washers and gaskets category of Ariston gas boiler spares and is listed for the Ecocombi, Ecogenus and Ecosystem appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The lip is cracked, hardened or flattened and no longer seals under compression
- Water or gas is weeping from the joint the gasket serves
- The gasket is swollen or deformed after contact with system water or inhibitor
- The gasket was torn or distorted during a previous service
- Pressure loss that traces back to the sealed joint rather than elsewhere in the system
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and edition against the fit list above
- Check the gasket seat measures 66 mm to match the component diameter
- Inspect the mating faces for corrosion, scoring or old gasket residue before refitting
- Verify the part number 998423 against the existing component or the manufacturer's parts list

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
