What it is
The Ariston 998172 is a microswitch main flow switch for Ariston gas boilers. It forms part of the flow switch assembly and provides a signal to the boiler controls when water flow is detected. It is used across Ariston Genus, Microgenus, Eurocombi and DIA System models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler does not fire when a hot water tap is opened.
- Hot water runs cold or intermittently despite demand.
- Flow switch microswitch fails to click or signal when water passes.
- Boiler responds only after repeated tap operation.
- No flow signal reaches the boiler control board.
