What it is
The Ariston 998106 is the wiring cable that connects the fan/air pressure switch circuit on Ariston Eurocombi and Genus gas boilers. It carries the signal between the pressure switch and the boiler's control circuit, allowing the appliance to prove fan operation before ignition. This cable is specified for appliances built from July 2000 onwards.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to prove fan operation and locks out on start-up
- Intermittent ignition faults traced to the pressure switch circuit
- Visible damage, scorching or brittleness on the cable or its connectors
- Loose or poor contact at the pressure switch or control board plug
- Fan runs but the boiler does not respond to the pressure switch signal
