What it is

The Ariston 997252 summer/winter selector kit is a control knob assembly for Ariston Eurocombi MFFI UK boilers. It fits on the appliance control panel and allows the user to switch the boiler between summer (hot water only) and winter (heating and hot water) modes. This kit replaces the earlier control knob part 573306 on appliances from serial number 2320015700001 onwards.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The selector knob is cracked, split or has broken away from its spindle
  • The knob is missing, leaving the selector shaft exposed
  • The knob turns freely without changing between summer and winter modes
  • The selector is stiff or will not rotate through its full travel
  • The mode positions no longer line up with the panel markings

Before you order

  • Check the boiler serial number is 2320015700001 or later, as the earlier part 573306 is used below this point
  • Confirm the appliance is a Eurocombi A23 MFFI or A27 MFFI UK model
  • Note whether the boiler is NG or LPG to match the correct variant
  • Inspect the selector shaft for damage before fitting the new knob
