What it is
The Ariston 997224 is a mounting bracket for the overheat thermostat used on Ariston Eurocombi and Genus gas boiler ranges. It holds the overheat thermostat in position against the relevant boiler surface so the safety device can sense temperature correctly and shut the appliance down if it overheats. The bracket is supplied as a single component for the thermostat assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The bracket is cracked, distorted or broken, leaving the thermostat loose
- The overheat thermostat will not sit squarely or hold its position against the boiler surface
- Corrosion or heat damage is visible on the bracket
- The boiler repeatedly locks out on overheat despite the thermostat being serviceable
- Fixing points on the bracket are damaged or the bracket no longer clips or screws down securely
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model and edition against the fit list above
- Check the part number 997224 matches the bracket currently fitted
- Inspect the overheat thermostat itself, as the bracket and thermostat are separate components
- Check the bracket fixings and mounting points on the boiler for damage before refitting

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
