What it is
The Ariston 991788 is an insulation pipe-joint used on Ariston Genus 27 BFFI PLUS gas boilers. It sits on the pipework to limit heat loss and protect adjacent components from conducted heat. It is listed within the burner section of the boiler spares range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, crumbling or breakdown of the insulation material
- The joint has come loose or detached from the pipework
- Localised heat marking or discolouration on nearby components
- Condensation or dampness around the pipe joint where insulation has failed
- Insulation flattened or compressed so it no longer sits correctly on the pipe
