What it is
The Baxi 986298 is a fan adaptor forming part of the flue assembly on Baxi Bermuda BBU 15 HE back boiler units and a number of Potterton Commercial Paramount appliances. It provides the mechanical link between the fan and the flue path, keeping the combustion circuit sealed so that flue products are carried away correctly. Because it sits inside the combustion circuit, the adaptor is a gas-carrying component and must be sound, correctly seated and free from distortion.
