What it is
The Vaillant 981052 sealing kit is a gasket set for the manufacturer's pump and solar thermal assemblies. It is used to reseal the joint faces on the pump unit and solar station during maintenance or repair. It is supplied as a Vaillant service part.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or damp staining around the pump or solar station joint
- The existing gasket has hardened, flattened or cracked
- Fluid traces on the mating faces after the joint is reassembled
- Repeated pressure loss traced to a joint rather than the pipework
- The old gasket sticks or breaks up when the joint is opened
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the part number on the existing component or against the manufacturer's parts list
- Inspect the mating faces for corrosion or scoring before fitting a new seal
