What it is
The Vaillant 981051 is a packing ring set — a gasket kit of sealing rings used on VU 656 series gas boilers. It is listed by Vaillant under the O-rings, washers and gaskets category for gas boiler spares. The rings seal the joints they are fitted to, preventing weeping of water or gas at the connection.

- Rings that have hardened, flattened or cracked with heat and age
- Seals disturbed or damaged during servicing and no longer seating correctly
