What it is
The Vokera 9806 is an automatic air vent supplied as an air vent bottle and cock assembly. It is fitted to Vokera gas boilers in the Eclipse, Hydra and Pinnacle families, where it releases trapped air from the heating circuit automatically. The assembly combines the vent bottle with its isolating cock so the vent can be closed off for servicing or replacement.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body or cap
- Visible scale or corrosion around the vent bottle
- Air continuing to collect in the system after bleeding, with repeated gurgling at the boiler
- The vent cap no longer seals or cannot be closed off at the cock
- Persistent air noise from the vent during operation
