What it is
The Baxi 95612720 is a combined control thermostat and thermal cutout used on unvented hot water cylinders. It regulates cylinder water temperature and provides overheat protection by breaking the circuit if the set point is exceeded. It is fitted to Baxi Assure and Heatrae Sadia Megaflo ECO PLUS direct and indirect cylinders.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water runs cold or only lukewarm despite the cylinder calling for heat
- Cylinder temperature overshoots and the overheat cutout trips repeatedly
- The cylinder requires manual resetting before hot water returns
- Immersion or boiler demand runs continuously without reaching set temperature
- Erratic hot water temperature that cannot be corrected at the cylinder control
