What it is
Heatrae Sadia element plate gasket assembly, supplied as a pack of two. It seals the joint between the element plate and the cylinder on Supreme water heaters, preventing water weeping from the plate flange. The gasket is a service item that should be renewed whenever the element plate is disturbed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the element plate flange
- Limescale or mineral staining around the plate joint
- Gasket visibly hardened, flattened or cracked
- Water tracking down the outside of the cylinder below the plate
- Persistent dampness at the plate after the element has been refitted
