What it is
The Heatrae Sadia Check Valve 1/2 Inch is a one-way valve used in the pipework of Hotflo and Multipoint unvented water heaters. It prevents reverse flow through the connection it is fitted to, keeping the flow direction through the heater as intended. It is supplied as a water heater spare under part number 95607987.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water flowing back through the valve when the downstream draw-off is closed
- Hot water migrating into the cold supply side of the installation
- Reduced or erratic flow through the connection the valve serves
- The valve failing to hold against pressure in the intended direction of flow
