What it is

The Baxi 95606984 is a bent, lower-position immersion element manufactured in Incoloy for indirect unvented hot water cylinders. It is the lower immersion heater used in the Megaflo Eco and Assure cylinder ranges, providing a secondary heat source for the stored hot water. Incoloy construction is specified for its resistance to corrosion in potable water systems.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Domestic hot water runs cold or only lukewarm when the immersion is switched on
  • The immersion circuit trips the RCD or MCB when the element is energised
  • No continuity or incorrect resistance reading across the element terminals
  • Visible corrosion, blistering or scale build-up on the element sheath
  • Water weeping from the element boss or gasket area
