What it is
The Heatrae Sadia 95606964 is an upper immersion heater element kit rated at 3kW with a 1 1/4" thread. It fits the upper element position in Heatrae Sadia unvented cylinders, including the Megaflo, Megatech and Electromax ranges, along with Heatstore HSU unvented cylinders. The element provides the upper heating source within the cylinder.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water from the upper part of the cylinder
- The element trips the RCD or circuit breaker when energised
- Continuity test shows an open circuit element
- Heavy scale build-up on the element sheath
- Water weeping from the element thread or gasket
