What it is
The Heatrae Sadia 95606963 is an upper immersion heater for Megaflo and Electromax unvented hot water cylinders. It is a TIG welded, bent element assembly that provides the upper heating zone within the cylinder. The manufacturer describes it as an EPA TIG weld bent immersion heater, MEG/PREM 07.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water from the upper part of the cylinder while the lower immersion still works
- The immersion trips the RCD or circuit breaker when energised
- Open circuit or no continuity across the element terminals
- Visible corrosion, scale build-up or a split in the element sheath
- Water weeping from the immersion boss or sealing washer

- Inspect the boss and sealing washer for damage before refitting
