What it is
The Vokera 9287 is a heat exchanger gasket used on a range of Vokera gas boilers. It seals the joint at the heat exchanger, preventing water loss and maintaining a sound seal under operating temperature and pressure. It is a service part intended for replacement when the existing gasket has degraded or begun to weep.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or a visible drip at the heat exchanger joint
- Staining, scale or corrosion around the gasket seating face
- The gasket is hardened, flattened, cracked or breaking up on inspection
- System pressure dropping repeatedly with no other obvious cause
- The joint has been disturbed during other work and the gasket cannot be reused
