Ariston 924087 Heating Element Gasket

The Ariston 924087 is a heating element gasket for Ariston unvented cylinders and standard water heaters. It fits between the immersion heating element flange and the cylinder boss, forming a watertight joint where the element enters the stored water. Because it is compressed every time the element is removed and refitted, the gasket is treated as a service item and is normally renewed whenever the element is disturbed or when the original seal has hardened and begun to seep.

• Water weeping or a damp patch around the heating element flange
• White limescale crusting or mineral deposits at the joint between element and cylinder
• Gasket found hardened, flattened or cracked when the element is withdrawn
• Water tracking down the cylinder shell below the element boss
• The element flange re-tightened more than once without stopping the seep

• Confirm the number on the existing gasket, or in the cylinder documentation, matches 924087.
• Note the cylinder model and serial number so the correct element and seal combination can be identified.
