What it is
The Ariston 923134 is a flange assembly with an integrated anode, used on Ariston BAI and STYX BAI unvented cylinders. It closes the cylinder base connection and carries a sacrificial anode that protects the cylinder shell from electrolytic corrosion. This version is specified for cylinders produced up to December 2002.

- The anode has corroded away or is heavily pitted, leaving the cylinder shell unprotected
- Rust-coloured or metallic-tasting water drawn from the cylinder
- Weeping or dripping at the flange joint
- The flange gasket face is corroded, scored or no longer sealing
- The anode has been in service long enough to warrant inspection and renewal
