What it is

The Vokera 8903 is a sight glass rear gasket used on Vokera Eclipse gas boilers. It seals the rear of the sight glass assembly, preventing flue gases and combustion products from escaping past the glass. It is a serviceable sealing component and should be renewed whenever the sight glass is removed or disturbed.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, hardening or flattening of the gasket material
  • Staining or soot tracking around the sight glass on the casing
  • The gasket breaks up or crumbles when the sight glass is removed
  • Combustion readings that suggest leakage at the sight glass
  • The gasket is missing or has been reused after a previous service

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fitment list above
  • Check the sight glass assembly on the boiler to confirm the gasket position and profile
  • Have the boiler isolated and, where required, the gas supply turned off before work begins
  • Renew the gasket rather than refitting a used one once the sight glass has been disturbed
