What it is
The SIPHON SEAL is a Worcester Bosch sealing component for the condensate siphon assembly on Greenstar and Greenstar 8000+ Style gas boilers. It is supplied under Worcester Bosch part number 8738906433 and is listed as an O-ring measuring 47.22 x 3.53. Its role is to seal the siphon joint so condensate is carried away without weeping at the connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water or condensate weeping from the siphon body or its joint
- Damp staining or crusting around the siphon and condensate pipework
- A visible flat spot, split, or hardened, perished rubber on the seal
- Repeated leaks at the same joint after the siphon has been disturbed
- Siphon removed for cleaning and the old seal found compressed or deformed
Before you order
- Confirm 8738906433 matches the part number shown for your appliance in the manufacturer's literature
- Check the siphon and seal arrangement on your model, as fitment varies across the Greenstar range
- Compare the listed size, 47.22 x 3.53, against the seal removed from the appliance
- Inspect the siphon housing and joint faces for damage before refitting
