What it is

The Worcester Bosch 8738902467 is a motor for the 3-way valve used on Greenstar Condens and Greenstar Condens 7000 Series appliances. It drives the valve to move between the heating and hot water positions. The motor is the electrical actuator head that operates the valve.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The valve does not move when heating or hot water is called for.
  • The motor head is silent when the appliance switches between heating and hot water.
  • The actuator buzzes or hums continuously.
  • Hot water runs cold, or the appliance stays in heating mode.
  • Radiators heat up when only hot water is demanded, or the reverse.

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above.
  • Check that the part number on the existing motor matches 8738902467.
  • Establish whether the fault lies with the motor head or the valve body before ordering.
  • Isolate the appliance from the electrical supply before fitting.
