What it is
The Worcester Bosch 8738901708 is a seal for Greenstar Condens 7000 Series appliances. It forms the sealing face at its fitting point within the boiler, preventing leakage at that joint. It is a service component, intended for replacement once the existing seal has degraded.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible cracking, splitting or hardening of the seal material
- The seal has flattened or lost its profile and no longer sits proud of its groove
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint the seal serves
- Scale, corrosion or debris built up on the sealing face
- A leak that returns shortly after the joint is reassembled
Before you order
- Check the appliance data badge to confirm the model matches the fitment list
- Confirm the part number on the component being replaced is 8738901708
- Inspect the mating surfaces for damage or corrosion before fitting a new seal
- Check whether other seals in the same assembly also need replacing
