What it is
The Worcester Bosch 8738206131 is an automatic air vent valve used across the Greensource air/water heat pump range and Greenstore combi boilers. It continuously vents trapped air from the heating circuit, helping to prevent airlocks and maintain stable circulation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent cap
- Persistent gurgling or air noise in the heating circuit
- Radiators or the heat pump circuit needing frequent bleeding
- System pressure dropping without an obvious leak elsewhere
- Corrosion or limescale staining around the vent body
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the part number on the existing valve matches 8738206131
- Isolate the appliance and depressurise the system before removal
- Have a container ready, as residual water will drain from the open vent port
