What it is
The drain cock is a Worcester Bosch component supplied for the Greenstar 1000 and Greenstar 2000 boiler families. It provides a controlled drain point on the appliance, allowing water to be drawn off the system or component for servicing and maintenance work.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the drain point with the cock closed
- The drain cock will not seal fully when turned shut
- Stiff, seized or snapped operating spindle or body
- Visible corrosion, scale build-up or cracking around the outlet
- Water tracking down the appliance casing from the drain point
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model code against the fitment list above
- Check the existing drain cock for the same part number or matching body pattern
- Confirm whether the appliance is the combi or system variant before ordering
- Isolate and drain the appliance before removal and fitting
