What it is
The Worcester Bosch ignition cable 8737712818 is the high-tension lead that carries the ignition voltage from the control unit to the spark electrode on the burner. It is used across the Greenstar 8000+ Style and Greenstar Gr8701IW appliance families. A sound cable and connector are needed for a reliable spark and clean light-up.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to light and goes to lockout with no spark at the electrode
- Visible damage, cracking or charring to the cable insulation
- Arcing or tracking along the lead instead of at the electrode tip
- Loose, corroded or heat-damaged connector at either end
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fit list
- Inspect the electrode and connector condition, as these may also need attention
- Check the routing and length of the existing lead before removal
- Compare the manufacturer part number 8737712818 with the marking on the old cable
