What it is
This is a Worcester Bosch hammer head bolt, supplied under part number 8737712757 and listed as a T-Head Bolt M8X42. It is a threaded fastener used on Worcester Bosch Greenstar and Greenstar 8000+ Style gas boiler assemblies, where a T-shaped head locates into a matching slot or channel to hold the component in position.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The head is rounded or deformed and no longer seats correctly in its channel
- The thread is stripped, cross-threaded or will not torque up cleanly
- Corrosion or pitting on the shank or head
- The bolt is missing or has worked loose from the assembly
Before you order
- Confirm the part number 8737712757 against the old fastener or the appliance's parts list
- Check the size marked on the application — this bolt is M8 x 42
- Verify the head profile matches the slot it sits in, as T-head bolts are located as well as threaded
- Check whether the mating nut, bracket or washer also needs replacing
