What it is
The Worcester Bosch 87377018600 is a burner assembly for the Greenstar 8000 Life range of gas boilers. It sits at the heart of the combustion process, distributing the gas/air mixture across the burner surface so it burns cleanly and evenly inside the heat exchanger. The assembly is supplied as a complete unit for direct replacement on the listed combi and regular models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to establish a stable flame on ignition
- Yellow or lazy flame instead of a crisp blue flame at the burner
- Sooting, blackening or heat discolouration around the burner surface
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the burner body or mesh
- Rising CO readings or combustion analysis results outside the manufacturer's limits
- Uneven flame pattern across the burner face during a service inspection
Before you order
- Check the GC number and appliance serial plate against the compatibility list to confirm the correct burner for the model being worked on.
- Cross-check the alternative number 2249006 against any number shown on the existing burner.
- Confirm whether a burner gasket or seal is required for the appliance being worked on, as these are commonly renewed at the same time.
- This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
