What it is
The Worcester Bosch 8737604397 is a 3-way valve used in Greenstar 1000 and Greenstar 2000 series boilers. It diverts water between the central heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit as demand changes. The valve is a serviceable component and is replaced when it no longer moves or seals correctly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water while the heating continues to run
- Heating circuit warms up when only hot water is drawn
- Valve fails to move between positions, or the actuator runs without changing the flow path
- Water weeping from the valve body or spindle
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
- Check that the part number on the existing valve matches 8737604397
- Establish whether the valve body, the actuator head or both require replacement
- Boiler work should be carried out by a competent heating engineer
