What it is
The end flame sense wiring harness is a Worcester Bosch lead that connects the flame sensing electrode to the boiler's control assembly, carrying the flame signal back to the board. It is used on Worcester 24 SI II and 28 SI II RSF appliances and on the Worcester British Gas Rd628 RSF. This version is specified for appliances built after FD483.

- Boiler locks out or reports a flame failure fault shortly after ignition
- Flame detection is intermittent, with the burner lighting and then shutting down
- Harness insulation is cracked, brittle, heat-damaged or chafed
- Connector at the electrode or control board is loose, corroded or discoloured
- Continuity through the lead is lost or unstable when the harness is moved
