What it is

The Worcester Bosch 87186909810 is a natural gas (NG) code plug, also listed as code plug NG 1380, used on the Worcester Greenstar 30 SI Compact NG boiler. It sets the appliance's gas type configuration so the control board applies the correct combustion parameters. It is a small plug-in component that fits to the boiler's electronics.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler fails to fire or locks out after the code plug is removed or refitted
  • Combustion settings no longer match the installed gas type
  • Fault code relating to gas type or appliance configuration appears
  • Code plug is missing, damaged, or has corroded or bent pins
  • Boiler has been converted between gas types and the plug was not changed to suit

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler model is a Greenstar 30 SI Compact NG
  • Check the existing code plug against part number 87186909810
  • Verify the appliance is set up for natural gas rather than LPG
  • Inspect the plug connector and board socket for damage before fitting
