What it is

The Worcester Bosch 87186908560 is a left-hand insulation component used on Greenstar Danesmoor External and System EXT ErP oil boilers. It sits within the boiler casing as part of the appliance's thermal insulation, limiting heat loss from the heat exchanger and surrounding panels. The LH suffix identifies it as the left-hand item.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Insulation panel is crumbling, flaking or breaking up
  • Visible moisture staining, dampness or softening of the panel
  • Panel has come away from its mounting or no longer sits flush
  • Casing or surrounding surfaces running noticeably hotter than usual
  • Physical damage or missing sections found during a service

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
  • Check whether the left-hand or right-hand insulation is required
  • Verify the part number 87186908560 matches the item being replaced
  • Inspect the surrounding insulation panels at the same time, as they may also need attention
