What it is

The Worcester Bosch 87186902880 is a front insulation jacket for the Greenstar Danesmoor and Heatslave II boiler ranges. It sits against the front section of the appliance to retain heat within the casing. The jacket forms part of the boiler's thermal insulation and is replaced when the existing material has degraded.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, crumbling or disintegration of the jacket material
  • The jacket has become damp, compressed or misshapen
  • The jacket no longer sits correctly against the front panel
  • Discolouration or scorching across the insulation surface
  • Reduced insulation performance, with the casing running hotter than usual

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
  • Check that the part number 87186902880 matches the jacket currently fitted
  • Confirm that the front jacket is the section requiring replacement
  • Inspect the existing jacket to assess the extent of the damage
