What it is

The Worcester Bosch 87186892880 is a double baffle for the secondary heat exchanger. It sits inside the secondary heat exchanger of Worcester Bosch Greenstar Danesmoor and Greenstar Heatslave II oil-fired boilers, where it manages the passage of combustion gases across the heat exchange surfaces. As a serviceable component, it can degrade over time and affect how efficiently the boiler transfers heat.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Reduced boiler efficiency or higher fuel consumption than usual
  • Poor heat transfer, with the boiler slow to reach temperature
  • Unusual noises from the heat exchanger area during operation
  • Visible distortion, corrosion or heavy soot deposits on the baffle when inspected

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fit list above
  • Check the condition of the existing baffle before ordering
  • Verify the appliance is a Worcester Bosch Greenstar Danesmoor or Greenstar Heatslave II model
