What it is

The code plug assembly is a Worcester Bosch component that carries the appliance configuration data read by the control board. It is supplied in LPG form for the Greenstar 32CDI Compact LPG. Fitting the correct code plug allows the board to recognise the appliance variant and gas type it is installed on.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler lockouts or fails to fire after a control board change.
  • The appliance reports a configuration or gas type fault on the controls.
  • The boiler has been converted or set up for the wrong gas type and will not run correctly.
  • The code plug is missing, damaged or has contaminated or corroded pins.
  • Fault finding points to incorrect appliance data being read by the board.

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance is a Greenstar 32CDI Compact running on LPG.
  • Check the existing code plug and its part number before removal.
  • Confirm the control board has not been changed for a unit requiring a different code plug.
  • Verify the part number 87186842350 matches the appliance documentation.
