What it is
The Worcester Bosch code plug assembly 87186842320 is a natural gas (NG) configuration plug for the Greenstar 32CDI Compact appliance family. It provides the gas type identity that the boiler's control electronics read when the appliance is commissioned or serviced. The plug must match the gas the appliance is running on.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to fire or locks out after the code plug has been removed or disturbed during control work.
- The plug body or its pins are damaged, corroded, bent or loose in the connector.
- The plug is missing or has been fitted with the wrong gas type for the appliance.
- Combustion readings or operating behaviour do not match the expected natural gas settings.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is a Worcester Greenstar 32CDI Compact running on natural gas.
- Check the existing plug and match the part number 87186842320 before ordering.
- Confirm the boiler has not been converted for use with a different gas type.
