What it is
The Worcester Bosch 87186808730 is a heat exchanger assembly for the Greenstar Danesmoor 12/18 ErP range of oil-fired boilers. It transfers heat from the combustion gases into the boiler water circuit. This is a painted regular unit matched to the 12/18 output models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water leaking from the heat exchanger body or its seals
- Kettling, banging or rumbling noises during firing
- Overheating or repeated lockouts linked to poor heat transfer
- Visible corrosion, scale build-up or sooting on the exchanger surfaces
- Combustion readings that cannot be brought within specification
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and output match the Danesmoor 12/18 ErP range
- Check the existing heat exchanger part number against 87186808730
- Verify whether the installation is a standard, external or utility variant
- Confirm the fault lies with the heat exchanger rather than the burner or controls
