What it is
The Worcester Bosch 87186628580 is the top cover casing assembly for the Greenstar 8000 Life range. It forms the upper outer panel of the boiler casing, closing off the top of the appliance and protecting the components beneath from dust and accidental contact. As well as its protective role, it gives the boiler its finished appearance once the case is refitted after servicing.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Cracks, splits or snapped edges in the casing panel
- Impact damage caused during servicing, transport or storage
- Heat discolouration or distortion so the cover no longer sits flush
- Broken or stripped fixing points that prevent the cover being secured
- Cover missing altogether, leaving the top of the appliance open
Before you order
- Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the correct model variant.
- Confirm the model number and fuel type, as both LPG and NG versions of the Greenstar 8000 Life are listed.
- The alternative number 8905021 may appear on older documentation for the same cover.
- This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
