Worcester Bosch Isolation Valve CDi Junior Greenstar 87161567550

The Worcester Bosch 87161567550 is an isolation valve designed to sit beneath the heating appliance on the central heating circuit. It lets the flow of water into the system be regulated, and allows the supply to be shut off completely if there is a leak or an emergency. The valve is used across the CDi, Junior and Greenstar appliance families, and is a serviceable component rather than a fixed part of the pipework.

Because it sits on the appliance side of the circuit, it is the point an engineer uses when the boiler needs to be drained down or isolated for repair. A valve that no longer seals properly leaves the system without a reliable means of isolation, which turns a straightforward job into a drain-down of the whole circuit.

• Water weeping from the valve body, spindle or gland
• Drips or damp patches directly beneath the appliance
• A valve handle that is stiff, seized or will not turn through its full travel
• The supply failing to shut off fully when the valve is closed
• Scale, corrosion or staining around the valve connections

• Check the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list before ordering, as this valve covers a large number of Worcester Bosch variants.
• Alternative part numbers for this item are 1019721 and WB87161567550.
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
