What it is
The Worcester Bosch DHW thermistor clip is a small retaining component that holds the domestic hot water thermistor firmly against its sensing point on the appliance. It is a Worcester Bosch spare, listed under the clips, pins and springs group, and is used across a number of the manufacturer's older combi and RSF platforms. Without a secure clip, the thermistor can sit away from the surface it monitors, which affects how the boiler reads hot water temperature.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The clip has become brittle or has cracked, allowing the thermistor to sit loose
- Hot water temperature readings are erratic or the boiler cycles unexpectedly during a draw-off
- The thermistor can be moved by hand because the retaining clip no longer grips
- The clip breaks or crumbles when the thermistor is removed during a service
- Traces of corrosion or heat damage around the clip and thermistor mounting point
