What it is
The 87161466420 is a Worcester Bosch ignition electrode lead built from 0.7mm PTFE-insulated cable, 570mm long. It carries the ignition spark from the boiler's ignition electronics to the electrode so the main burner or pilot can be lit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite or repeatedly locks out on an ignition fault
- Visible cracking, melting or discolouration of the cable insulation
- Intermittent or weak spark at the electrode
- Arcing or tracking marks along the length of the lead
