What it is
The main burner injector is the metered orifice that feeds gas into the burner on a Worcester Bosch appliance. It sets the gas flow rate at the burner so the flame burns at the correct size and air-to-gas ratio for the appliance's heat input. This example is the LPG version, supplied by Worcester Bosch under part number 87161402090, and is used across a number of 24 kW CDI, SBI and 24i RSF models in the Worcester range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner flame burning weak, uneven or noticeably short compared with normal operation
- Yellow or lifting flame, or visible sooting around the burner and heat exchanger
