Worcester Bosch Code Plug LPG 8716122265

The Worcester Bosch code plug, part number 8716122265, is a fuel-type coding component used on LPG variants of the Greenstar 4000 System range. It connects to the appliance control board and signals to the boiler software which fuel the appliance is configured for, so the correct combustion settings are applied. It is supplied as a separate plug and can be renewed on its own if the original is damaged, mislaid or swapped during a board change.

• The boiler behaves as though it is set for the wrong fuel after a plug swap or board replacement.
• Combustion analyser readings fall outside the range expected for an LPG appliance.
• Fault codes or lockouts appear that relate to fuel configuration rather than to the burner or gas valve.
• The plug body, pins or connector show physical damage, looseness or corrosion.
• The plug is missing altogether after a previous repair or service.

• Check the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list to confirm the plug suits your boiler.
• Compare the markings on the existing plug and cross-check the alternative number 8923009.
• Inspect any seals or gaskets disturbed while gaining access to the control board and renew them if their condition is in doubt.
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
